picking up furniture

Hubby, kids, and I went to MS today. That's really home to us. Anyway, the kids go to school there, and Spring Break is OVER!!! So, back to the real world for them. We got there just in time for a great lunch that my mom had prepared. YUM! Afterwards. we loaded up a corner cabinet that I had previously bought. At the time, I didn't have a good way to get it home, so I left it with Mom. She immediately filled it up with her goodies :) But, today was the day to bring it home, so we loaded it up on the truck along with an antique chifferobe that belonged to my grandmother. It needs some TLC, but will be real nice when I'm finished with it. Hopefully I can get have it completely re-finished this summer. Hubby will have to do some repair work on it first, and I will work on it a little along. I'm so glad that I will be able to use something in my house that belonged to my grandmother. But, tomorrow, I will be re-painting the inside of the hutch/corner cabinet a pale/icy pink. The cabinet itself is already white but the inside is a dark color. I hope to have that ready to put in my house this week.

New Kid on the Block

Well, this is my first post in the blogging world. My daughter helped me get this set up. Today was a great day for yardsales; but, I only had a little while to be out and about. I found a great little bookcase/cabinet and a wire rack organizer that hangs on the inside of a door. I also found a couple of other things, but at the time I didn't have my blog set up. Hopefully I will get the hang of this and be able to keep it up.

the lady at the yardsale was asking $55.00 for it, but I managed to get it for $40.00. Not too bad. Real cute and goes with my decor.
